Inspiration

It all started when our founder was working with a client in the wine business in New York City. While working on this project she identified the opportunity for an easy-to-drink, alternative sparkling wine fermented akin to the ancient mediterranean tank fermentation, charmat method.

Our founder grew up in South Africa and spent a lot of joyful time with friends and family having sundowners on Clifton beach. Remembering those days, one summer day on New York’s Fire Island, she had her lightbulb moment of this joyous lifestyle and wrote the name in the sand, added a second F for Freedom and Fresh and CLIFFTON DRY POMME CLASSIQUE™ was born.
